Becoming a science teacher is basically a two-step process. Part 1 is completing your content-area major. Part 2 is completing the Professional Sequence in teacher education, sometimes called the “licensure core.” This too is a process, as indicated by the word “sequence” in the title. You should start what is called Level I during your sophomore year, being careful to pay attention to the course prerequisites.
